Melissa Holstrom 

Founder/President 

Melissa Holstrom is a passionate worship pastor whose heart beats to lead people into the presence of Jesus. As the founder and president of Flourish and Thrive, she not only oversees the vision of the ministry but also leads worship at every event—creating space for others to encounter the Lord deeply and personally through music and praise.

Melissa has a deep love for Jesus and a strong desire to see lives transformed through worship and the Word. She is a wife to her best friend, momma to two amazing adult daughters and a teenage son, and a devoted follower of Christ. Whether she’s singing, playing guitar, or encouraging others, her life is marked by a desire to glorify God in all she does.

Her ministry journey includes years of faithful service: founding and leading a 501(c)(3) homeschool co-op, leading worship at her local church, planting a church, and being ordained in 2019. These experiences have shaped her into the worship leader and minister she is today.

Flourish and Thrive is the fulfillment of a God-sized dream, and Melissa is honored to live it out. Through heartfelt worship and Spirit-led leadership, she is committed to walking out the mission God has entrusted to her—calling others into freedom, fullness, and flourishing in His presence.

Amy Abbott 

Vice President

LGC/LMT/CMT- Amy is passionate about working with people as they work on themselves whether it’s through the modality of massage therapy or life coaching. She is a firm believer that by exploring a person’s approach to life and dreams from a holistic direction, they can achieve deep, transformative change that is sustainable. By addressing the mind, spirit AND body, clients can receive powerful and beautiful insight to propel them forward in God’s great plan for their lives! She has been a licensed and certified Massage Therapist for over 21yrs and has a deep appreciation and knowledge about how the body processes stress and pain. She brings this awareness into the coaching field, merging body work with soul care. Amy launched her first business, In Good Hands Therapeutic Massage in 2004 after earning her Associates Degree from Heritage College in Kansas City, MO and her NCBMT. She has even partnered with GCLA in Honduras, several times since 2018 by taking massage therapy to communities in great need of medical care. In the last 21yrs, she has worked on hundreds of clients and has most enjoyed helping them with their physical pain while hearing their amazing life stories! This prompted her move to study with Christian Coaching School to pursue a certification in Professional Coaching with LifeForming Leadership Coaching. She launched Inspire Somatic Life Coaching LLC upon graduation in 2021 which is still thriving today! Amy also teaches Creative Wellness art classes for retreats in Kansas and Missouri and currently resides in Lees Summit, MO with her two amazing daughters.

Janessa Dolphin 

Secretary 

Janessa brings a unique mix of legal expertise and a passion for ministry to Flourish & Thrive. As a Chaplain and dedicated advocate, she’s been deeply involved with IntoFreedom.org, supporting trafficking survivors on their path to healing. She also co-leads a Bible study for women at the Platte County jail, where her encouragement and heart for others shine.

Now serving as Secretary on the Board, Janessa will be keeping everyone organized and in the loop—so get ready to see her name popping up in your inbox!

In other exciting news, Janessa recently married the love of her life, Andrew Hampson, who (fun fact!) played a role in connecting her to the Holstroms. A name change is coming soon—stay tuned!
